We aim to create greater equality in society, in our communities and for individuals.
We support people to live the life they choose and to achieve what is important to them.
Independent Living is about choice. Living the life we want and having support to achieve this. Support can be a couple of hours a week or 24 hours each day.
Independent Living is choosing accommodation that you feel best supports in everything you want to do; you whether that is shared or individual accommodation.
Choice and Control
Choice and Control is about being able to make decisions about our life. We might need some support to understand some of the information about decisions, to help ensure that we make an informed decision. It is about developing plans and strategies to maximise decision making in all areas of ones life.
For example, some decisions that we might make could be: what to wear in the morning, what to eat for dinner, what do we do in the day, or when to go and see a doctor etc...
We are committed to supporting everyone as flexibly as possible. We recognise that everyone is different and has different routines and rhythms. We aim to support people in the way they want to be supported and at the times that they want support.
We are always happy to discuss any support requirements or preferences.
